Saturday crafts and haircuts

Today consisted of doing ceramic stepping stone crafts and play dough fun.  My garden is gonna look so beautiful with these stepping stones laying through out the flower bed.
I even managed to cut my sons hair. This is the only photo I got of him today. I like doing the kids hair my self rather paying for a haircut I pretty much can do myself.  Do any of you do this either it be for the ability or for budget reasons.
My handsome boy.
Now time to get ready for the Easter bunny.
Good night folks.

Plants and family time

A week of vacation and we haven't done much outdoorsy. the wind and allergies combo has taken over and we have been trying to stay away from it. that way the kids don't get worse from having double ear infections. we have been playing lots of video games, crafts, painting. and sand art. we also planted some new veggies in a garden pot tower. i post pictures soon once they start to grow. i still have to add label sticks to each section. today we are decorating Easter eggs this should be fun.

Cars & Coffee

We had a great morning so far. The hubs and I went to a fun event that happens every Saturday morning, a car and coffee gathering. We got to look at old and new muscle cars. My favorites are the older classics. Such beautiful cars. Lots of owing and awing. Here are some of the photos I took.

Braces and Homemade Pasta Pesto Alfredo

Tonight im making my homemade pasta pesto alfredo for dinner. Yesterday I got my braces adjusted and stronger wires, plus power chains put on. So my teeth are really sore. So soft foods today. The kids love pasta pesto alfredo. It's pretty easy and my go to.
                                             Pasta Pesto Alfredo
                                            Ingredients:
                                           cooked pasta
                                             4 cups heavy cream
                                             2 cups parmigiana cheese
                                             2 tbs butter
                                              salt pepper to taste
                                             1 package pesto sauce

Cook pasta to directions. Melt butter in sauce pan , add cream and pesto package to melted butter till simmering. Add parmigiana  stir till melted. Take off heat, blend with pasta. Add salt and pepper to taste. Sometimes I grill some chicken or add shrimp. Tonight I'm sauteing some diced calbasa. If you don't like pesto you can do it with out.

Morning helper and daily routines

I have a little monkey helping me this morning.Sitting here drinking my herbal morning tea. trying to wake up a little. For not sleeping much last night, I feel pretty good so far this morning. I have already had a Ortho appointment taken care of and done a few chores around the house. Such as laundry started, dishes done, and some picking up around the house.

My daily routine is getting up and getting kids ready for school. When i get home from dropping them off I try and start a load of laundry, dishes get done and the kitchen cleaned up. Once that is all done i try and get Evelyn to get a nap in after she has had some lunch. In between all this we try and have her try and potty every 30 minutes. when she naps i catch up on any shows i may have such as soaps and what not. she usually sleeps till its time to pick the kiddos up from bus stop. Then its homework time and dinner time.  If my hubby is home this all gets changed but i try and get the necessities done.
What does your daily routine look like? Is it similar or very different.

Mommy cant sleep

Yep, wide awake at 1:30am. Hate not being able to sleep.  Like why can't i be wide awake when i gotta clean house, or do laundry!  No i gotta be wide awake in the middle of the night.
What is there to do, other than go on Facebook. Tomorrow I'll be all our of it too, when i need to be awake.  And the cycle will proubly repeat itself.  I must blame it on the time change, that must be it.  Hmm, who knows.  Well let's see,  iv seen videos on DIY homemade oven cleaner. Almost made me want to clean my oven,  but didn't have any vinegar. So that was a nope. Caught up on my soaps spoilers for the week.
I even took a lavender soaking bath, still wide awake,  only now i have a migraine. Speaking of migrains,  i woke up today with one.  Not sure what is causing them but momma needs them to go.  I pinned some pins of easter crafts for the kiddos to do during spring break. I  have some ideas on what to do,  but I'll save those for another post.  Well better find some thing boring to read that will nock me out,  like the dictionary.  Knowing me,  ill be all interested though.  Hahaha

Potty traing

We are on day 3 of potty training my youngest age 2 1/2. So far not much has happened. The kids had a sleep over at there grandparents house Friday night and she used the potty 2 times while there. Yay. So far at home she hasn't gone. Today Im gonna go to the store and get some stickers and some potty charts or something to make a potty chart with from the store. I'll keep y'all updated.

Question: Does anyone have any suggestions on what has worked for them on potty training? Please leave a comment below!!!!

Sunday Time change

This time change has hit me hard. Woke up with a migraine once again. I think its allergy related to be honest. Its happening almost every day so I have to take meds and a coke to get the meds activated. Sometimes the only thing that works is keeping my eyes closed. mommy is walking around in my sunglasses this morning. Time to get some motivation. I have some laundry to do and dishes to clean. Wish me luck.

Can i say mommy is tired

When one has a kid free night do they use the night to go out? Go to a movie? Dinner out kid free? Take the time to go dancing or have a nightly stroll out on the town. No apparently the hubs and I errant normal. We spent our time with a meal kids wont complain about and catch up on shows such as Breaking Bad that the kids aren't able to watch. It's funny to find out that you have become old. or is it that one has truly become a parent! A a very tired parent. when  one gets a chance at having no one to care for at the night off moment. One takes that chance to be relaxed and care free. Can I say Mommy Is Tired. Hubby grilled steaks and baked potatoes and I made cheese baked asparagus for dinner. A glass of wine, ice cream cone later im ready for bed.....
